Programs and services especially for adults.
The Griswold Public Library offers:
- Library & Lunch from Noon-1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of September-December and February-May. An interesting speaker will relate a book they have either written or read.
- All Iowa Reads book discussion will be available each spring in May. This year's book is "The Rope Walk" by Carrie Brown.
- Bookers's Book Club is starting for all who are interested. We meet the second Monday of the month at 4 pm at the Griswold Middle/High School Library.
- For Parents Only section in our library if you are looking for materials relating to parenting, raising children, or raising a child with special needs.
- The Griswold American Newspaper is available on microfilm from 1880 to 1995. From 1995 to the present they are available in a bound copy for each year.
- Books on audio cassette, CD's, and DVD's are available for checkout as are all our bound fiction and nonfiction selections.
- Numerous magazines are available as well as the daily Des Moines Register and weekly Griswold American newspapers.
- A copy machine and fax machine are available for your convenience.
- The Library subscribes to EBSCOhost, a database with thousands of online journal articles.
- We do offer limited homebound services for those who cannot make it to the library. We also deliver to the Assisted Living Facility and Nursing Home in Griswold.
